| Diagnostic interventions performed before birth are called prenatal diagnosis. Techniques such as ultrasonographic examinations, fetoscopy, triple screening test, and obtaining cells from maternal blood are noninvasive prenatal diagnosis methods. Invasive methods can be grouped into three as amniocentesis, cordocentesis, and CVS. It is important for prenatal diagnosis to determine which group of diseases will be diagnosed with which group of techniques. In this course, it is planned to provide information about invasive and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis techniques, and to teach laboratory studies and clinical applications of these techniques. | |||
