ISO 45001, which replaced BS OHSAS 18001 in 2018, the standard that defines requirements and best practices for occupational health and safety management systems for more than 20 years, is now implemented in more than 80 countries. Building on the old standard, the standard follows the high-level structure established for ISO management system standards, making it relatively easy to integrate into existing systems.
