Within the scope of the “2053 Vision Workshop on International Student Recruitment in Türkiye”, organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Service Exporters’ Association on December 29, 2025, the workshop was held with the contributions of participating public institutions, universities, and sector stakeholders.
During the workshop, the entire process of international students—from their first contact with Türkiye to their transition into the labor market after graduation—was addressed from a multidimensional perspective, with the participation of public institutions, universities, students, representative offices, agencies, education service exporters, and subject-matter experts. Following the opening speeches, the workshop was conducted under the moderation of Prof. Dr. Figen Yıldırım, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences at Istinye University.
At the workshop, the international student life cycle was evaluated across the dimensions of admission, visa and residence procedures, promotion and agency networks, social and academic integration, as well as post-graduation retention and employment. The findings of the workshop are expected to be highly beneficial and will directly contribute to the design of policies and practices in line with the 2053 vision.
