Dr. Esmail Doustkhah is the Director of the Clean Energy Research Center (ISU-TEAM) at Istinye University and a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry. He received his PhD in Chemistry from Urmia University and has carried out advanced research at internationally recognized institutions, including the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan and Koç University in Türkiye, where he was supported through prestigious research fellowship programs. His research focuses on clean energy conversion, (photo)(electro)catalysis, advanced functional materials, nanostructured materials, CO2 conversion, hydrogen production, and sustainable approaches for transforming waste resources into value-added materials. He has led and contributed to several national and international funded research projects and has published extensively in the fields of catalysis, electrochemistry, and materials chemistry. As Director of ISU-TEAM, Dr. Doustkhah leads interdisciplinary research activities that bring together faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, PhD researchers, and international collaborators to develop innovative solutions for sustainable energy and environmental technologies.
