IEEE Club Conducts Laboratory Tour at Boğaziçi University Observatory and Biomedical Institute
On January 16, 2025, the IEEE Club at İstinye University organized a tour to explore the laboratories of Boğaziçi University Observatory and Biomedical Institute. The event began at 12:00 p.m. outside the campus and offered participants the opportunity to see innovations in scientific research up close.
During the tour, club members and participants learned about astronomical observations at Boğaziçi University Observatory and observed the latest technological developments firsthand. While detailed information was shared about the observations and research conducted at the observatory, participants had the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about developments in the field of astronomy.
At the Biomedical Institute laboratories, research conducted on biomedical engineering and health technologies was introduced. Participants gained knowledge about biotechnology and medical device development processes, while also gaining important experience by seeing the laboratory equipment and work firsthand.
The IEEE Club stated that the event provided participants with new perspectives in different engineering fields and strengthened the links between academic work and industry. It was emphasized that such tours play an important role in guiding students' careers. The club stated that it plans to organize similar tours in the future.
