Istinye Medical Students Association Club Organizes “Red Box” Awareness Event
Between November 11th and 22nd, the Istinye Medical Students Association Club successfully held a “Red Box” event to support students in raising awareness about sexual and reproductive health. The stand, set up in front of the Vadi Main Campus Student Affairs Office, hosted a significant awareness campaign within the university community.
As part of the event, a special box was created where all students on campus could anonymously ask questions about sexual and reproductive health. Students could submit their questions in writing without revealing their identity, and these questions were answered scientifically by knowledgeable club members.
The “Red Box” initiative aimed to provide students with information in a safe environment while protecting their privacy. Questions on sexual health, contraceptive methods, reproductive health, hygiene, and many other topics were collected weekly and answered with explanatory and educational responses based on expert opinions.
Students who visited the stand during the event had the opportunity to access accurate information and contribute to this effort to raise public health awareness. The event, which attracted great interest, was considered an important step in terms of open communication, awareness, and health literacy among students.
