She completed her master’s degree in the Department of Medical Biology at the Faculty of Medicine, Uludağ University, and her PhD in the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ege University. She gained short-term research experience as a postdoctoral researcher at Baldemir Lab, Department of Bioengineering, Izmir Institute of Technology.
Her research interests focus on cancer pharmacology and chemoresistance, ion channels, anticancer activities of natural compounds, and pharmacogenomics. She has served as a principal investigator, researcher, and scholarship holder in numerous TÜBİTAK-funded projects. She has published articles in international peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at national and international conferences and is the author of one book chapter.
