Student Council

The Student Council of İstinye Üniversitesi is a democratic student body formed through representatives elected by students enrolled in associate and undergraduate programs across the university. The Council’s structure consists of department representatives, faculty representatives, and among them, members elected to the Executive Board and Supervisory Board. Representatives are chosen through democratic elections and serve as the voice of students within the university administration.

The primary mission of the Student Council is to ensure the sustainability of a free and participatory university environment at Istinye University; to convey students’ concerns, opinions, requests, and suggestions to the relevant administrative bodies; and to contribute to solution-oriented processes. In this context, our main priorities include creating platforms for discussion on common student issues, developing proposals for shared solutions, establishing an active and healthy communication bridge between students and the university administration, and enabling students to have a voice in university governance through democratic representation mechanisms.

Our Council organizes activities that contribute to the multidimensional development of students throughout their university life. Priority areas of activity include:

🎓 Education: Evaluating and addressing students’ academic needs and requests,

🏥 Health: Proposals and projects that support physical and mental well-being,

🎭 Culture and Arts: Planning and supporting social and cultural events,

🏆 Sports: Encouraging sports activities and supporting student-athletes.

Additionally, various training programs, seminars, and workshops are organized in line with students’ developmental needs.

As the Student Council of Istinye University, our fundamental goal is to ensure that our students experience a more productive, efficient, and enjoyable university life; to provide a university experience enriched with diverse opportunities and experiences; and to prepare them as well-rounded individuals for the future.
