Important Points for Residence Permit Applications

  1. Please make sure that you have signed your application form.
  2. Please make sure that you have selected the correct application type (first application, extension, or transfer).
  3. Please make sure that you have provided your up-to-date contact information on the application form. Otherwise, you may not receive notifications from the Directorate General of Migration Management.
  4. Please make sure that you have included all pages of your application form in your application file.
  5. Please make sure that you submit your documents to our University as soon as your application file is complete, regardless of your appointment date and time.
  6. Please make sure that you submit the original copies of the required documents in your application file to our University.
  7. Please make sure that the student certificate included in your application file is up to date.
  8. Please note that the residence permit procedures of our international students are handled through our University; therefore, there is no need to obtain services from any intermediary company.
  9. Please note that if you freeze/suspend your enrollment, your existing residence permit will be cancelled regardless of its validity period. After graduation, however, you may continue to use your existing residence permit until its expiration date.
  10. Please note that your student status must be active during the residence permit application process. Otherwise, your application may be cancelled.
  11. Please make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months at the time of application.
  12. If you hold passports from two or more countries, please make sure that you submit your residence permit application using the passport with which you entered Türkiye.
  13. Please make sure that you are physically present in Türkiye when applying for a residence permit.
  14. If you transfer to another university within the same city, please make sure that you visit the relevant Provincial Directorate of Migration Management to update your information.
  15. If you continue your education at a university in another city, please make sure that you submit a new residence permit application in the city where you will continue your studies.
