The Quality Commission of our university convened at a meeting held on July 17, 2025. The meeting began with an opening speech by the Rector of Istinye University, Prof. Dr. Erkan İBİŞ, emphasizing the importance of quality assurance processes for institutional development.
During the meeting, the current and new proposals prepared by the Quality Working Group regarding the areas for improvement identified in the Institutional Feedback Report prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) were evaluated. Progress in these areas was shared with commission members, and plans for ongoing work were discussed.
Prof. Dr. Pınar YURDAKUL MESUTOĞLU, Chair of the Leadership, Governance and Quality Sub-Working Group, delivered a comprehensive presentation including the current situation analysis and improvement proposals. This was followed by presentations from Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çağatay ACUNER, Chair of the Education and Training Quality Working Group, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Mustafa ÇETİN, Chair of the Research and Development Quality Working Group, who shared the work carried out in line with the areas open to improvement in their respective fields.
It was also emphasized during the meeting that the activities carried out by the sub-working groups in their respective areas would continue under the coordination of the commission and that these efforts would be disseminated across the institution.
Finally, Quality Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa SUNDU shared the quality calendar planned until the end of 2025 with the commission members, outlining the timeline for upcoming activities.
The meeting concluded with evaluations aimed at strengthening the quality assurance system and contributing to the sustainability of institutional development.
