The evaluation process of the Istinye University Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP), conducted by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), was successfully completed between December 7, 2025 and December 10, 2025.
During the site visit, the university’s quality assurance culture, process management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement approaches were comprehensively examined, with a focus on leadership, governance and quality, education and training, research and development, and societal contribution.
As part of the visit, the YÖKAK evaluation team held meetings with academic and administrative staff, students, and external stakeholders, and conducted a multidimensional review of the university’s institutional functioning and quality assurance processes. Through site visits carried out across various units, comprehensive observations were made regarding the university’s policies and practices.
Throughout the process, valuable feedback was received on many areas, particularly quality assurance approach, stakeholder satisfaction, human resources management, strategic planning activities, research and development capacity, and student support services. While this feedback highlighted the strengths of Istinye University, it also provided an important roadmap for identifying areas open to improvement.
Emphasizing that the YÖKAK evaluation process has further strengthened the institutional culture, quality awareness, and continuous development approach, our Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İBİŞ thanked all academic and administrative staff, students, and external stakeholders who contributed to the process. Rector Prof. Dr. İBİŞ also stated that this evaluation would make significant contributions to the institutional capacity in the university’s quality-oriented development journey.
