The Career Days, organized by our University’s Career Center, brought students together with leading figures of the industry, enabling them to make a strong start to their career journeys.
Traditionally held every year at our University, Career Days were once again organized this year with broad participation and rich content. Throughout the day-long event, students met with industry professionals, company representatives, and expert speakers, gaining valuable insights to guide their career planning.
The opening speech of the program was delivered by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Peyami Çelikcan. In his speech, Çelikcan emphasized the critical role of university–industry collaboration in students’ career development and stated that such events help young people step into the business world more prepared. He also highlighted the key competencies that graduates should possess for successful career development.
Following the opening speech, the program continued with a session moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda Kılıç, where participants from various sectors shared their experiences and engaged directly with students. Key topics such as career planning, transition to professional life, industry dynamics, and current workplace practices were discussed within the scope of the program.
An Opportunity and Experience Hub for Students
Company booths and activity areas set up throughout the event attracted significant interest from students. Participants had the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with company representatives and obtain information about internship and job opportunities. At the same time, interactive activities allowed students to spend a day that was both enjoyable and productive.
Career Days contributed to students’ professional development by enabling them to establish direct contact with the professional world and take more conscious and confident steps in their career journeys.
