Commemoration Ceremony for Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak and Book Launch of “Physiotherapy in Intensive Care” Held

At the memorial program held at Istinye University, the academic legacy and compassionate character of the late Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak were once again remembered, and the launch of the book titled “Physiotherapy in Intensive Care” was also held.

An emotional memorial program was organized in honor of Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, who passed away last year together with her family. The program, attended by academics, students, colleagues, and invited guests, was marked by deeply emotional moments.

The program began with a moment of silence followed by the National Anthem and opening speeches. First, Prof. Dr. Ufuk Yurdalan, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, then Prof. Dr. Yıldız İyidoğan, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and finally our Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş delivered speeches highlighting Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak’s scientific contributions, academic integrity, and her impact on students.

Within the scope of the program, a video presentation showcasing Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak’s academic journey and moments from her life was screened. This was followed by a memorial panel where her professional contributions and lasting impact were discussed from different perspectives. The reflections shared during the panel once again demonstrated that she is remembered not only for her academic achievements but also for her inspiring, supportive, and sincere personality that deeply influenced her students.
