DataMedX Hackathon, organized by İstinye University from May 23-25, 2025, brought high school students together around health, artificial intelligence, and data science. Held in person at the Vadi Campus Main Campus Conference Hall, the event enabled students to work with real health data for three days, creating projects that will shape the future of health technologies. The event aimed to encourage youth productivity in technology and science, supporting them as individuals capable of solving future problems.

Real Data, Real Solutions

Supported by the technical and academic expertise of İstinye University’s Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, students actively participated in all stages of project development—from idea generation to prototype creation—under the guidance of mentors. Participants developed various solutions in AI algorithms, data analytics, user experience, and health technologies, while also enhancing teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills.

The projects developed ranged from smart diagnostic systems to digital health monitoring tools. Topics covered included food technology, mental health, patient data management, and preventive health solutions—all approached with creative perspectives. Students experienced the excitement of producing AI-supported projects in health through engineering-based approaches.

Future Engineers and Entrepreneurs Recognized

At the competition’s conclusion, the jury awarded the most successful projects with first, second, and third prizes. All participants were praised for their original ideas and technical competencies. The entirely free hackathon provided high school students with valuable early exposure to academic and professional worlds.
