The “Let’s Charge Our World Summit,” which comprehensively addressed the present and future of electric mobility, brought together expert speakers to discuss key topics shaping the transformation of the ecosystem. During the summit, particular emphasis was placed on the contributions of Paraf Charge, the payment system developed by Halkbank for the electric vehicle charging ecosystem. It was highlighted that Paraf Charge, which enables one-step payment convenience and operates in integration with next-generation POS devices, will play a facilitating and incentivizing role in the adoption of electric vehicles.
Moderated by Specialist Dr. Sinan İbiş, the summit featured a speech by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, titled “Public Responsibilities and Ethical Principles in Innovative Digital Technologies,” in which he drew attention to technology-driven transformations and their social and ethical dimensions.
The summit also addressed Türkiye’s transformation within the electric vehicle ecosystem, noting that the number of electric vehicles is expected to reach approximately 1.7 million by 2030, while the number of charging sockets is projected to exceed 150,000. Emphasis was placed on the critical role of the banking sector in the development of charging infrastructure, with Halkbank’s integrated financial solutions highlighted as key enablers supporting sustainable energy transition and long-term development goals.
