Innovative Projects Awarded in the 'Health Ambassadors Education Program'

The 'Health Ambassadors Education Program', initiated by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and Istinye University (ISU), found its winners. Projects aimed at raising 'health awareness' in students, creating a healthy community and youth, and facilitating the lives of students with chronic diseases through solidarity were prepared in the fields of "Chronic Disease Awareness" and "Earthquake Awareness" in the "Social Campaign" and "Digital Game" categories.

Teams consisting of students and mentor teachers were ranked in different categories, and the successful teams received their awards at a ceremony held at the ISU Congress Center on May 25th. Prof. Dr. Peyami Çelikcan, Vice-Rector of ISU, Ali Yeşilyurt, Director of National Education in Zeytinburnu District and Prof. Dr. Yalçın Kırdar, Dean of the ISU Faculty of Communication also attended the award ceremony, where awards and gifts were presented to successful teams together with academics who provided training in the project.


"We need minds that can generate solutions to societal problems"

At the event, Ali Yeşilyurt, Director of National Education in Zeytinburnu District, representing the Ministry of National Education, emphasized the purpose of the project by saying, "We need minds that care about the problems of our society and can generate solutions to these problems. For this reason, we cared about the problems caused by chronic diseases in children and the solutions to the problems caused by the earthquake, and developed this project together with the Ministry of National Education."
