As part of its 11th anniversary events, our university visited the Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial, providing an opportunity to commemorate one of the most important turning points in our history on site and to experience the spirit of Çanakkale.
Within the scope of its 11th anniversary celebrations, Istinye University visited the Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial. The program was organized to allow participants to experience the spirit of Çanakkale firsthand and to feel the spiritual atmosphere of this significant historical region that carries the traces of history.
The visit was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş; Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Peyami Çelikcan; Deputy Secretary General, Melike Gülsen; along with our student leaders and student club representatives. Throughout the program, participants witnessed the historical and spiritual significance of Çanakkale and came together around a shared sense of awareness and values.
Shared Memory and Loyalty in the Footsteps of History
As part of the visit, a message prepared by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of our University, Dr. Muharrem Usta, regarding the meaning and importance of the day was delivered on his behalf by our student leader Elif Aslı Şan. In the speech, it was emphasized that Çanakkale is not only a victory, but also one of the strongest symbols of unity, sacrifice, and love for the homeland.
This meaningful visit reflects Istinye University’s commitment to valuing historical heritage, fostering a strong sense of historical awareness, and prioritizing social responsibility.
