Our university has ushered in a new era in advanced scientific research with the addition of the Stellar Mass Spectrometer system to its research infrastructure. Led by Dr Büşra Köse Demirtaş, a lecturer at our Faculty of Medicine, and with the joint contributions of Prof. Dr Engin Ulukaya, ISUMKAM and MLPCare ISU A.Ş. laboratories throughout the process, considerable effort and hard work has been put into installing and activating the system at our university since May.

Scientific Depth in Strategic Research Rapidly Increasing

Our university continues to strengthen its research ecosystem with advanced technology devices. The Stellar Mass Spectrometer system, newly added to our university's infrastructure, stands out as one of the latest technologies of critical importance, particularly for advanced cancer research.

Available in only a handful of institutions worldwide, including Europe, the UK, and the US, this system offers high-resolution analysis capabilities in its field. With its ability to distinguish extremely subtle differences, it will directly contribute to scientific advancements in numerous areas, including understanding tumour biology, discovering new biomarkers, developing personalised treatment strategies, and analysing treatment responses.
