Prof. Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur Was Awarded an Honorary Doctorate

The Honorary Doctorate Award Ceremony held at our university brought together prominent figures from the academic world. During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of his international academic leadership and contributions to higher education.

The program began with a special piano recital performed by Prof. Dr. Evren Bilge Kutlay.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, delivered the opening remarks at the ceremony. In his speech, Prof. Dr. İbiş emphasized that universities are not merely institutions that produce knowledge; they are also structures that shape the future through science, culture, and international collaborations.

During the academic ceremony, Prof. Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur was invited to the stage, where his academic robe was presented by Prof. Dr. Bestami Özkaya and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alper Tunga. Subsequently, the honorary doctorate certificate and medal were presented by İstinye University Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş and Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Muharrem Usta.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur thanked İstinye University for the honorary doctorate title bestowed upon him and emphasized the importance of international academic collaborations. The program concluded with a photo session held in commemoration of the day.
