Organized by the Department of Textile and Fashion Design at İstinye University, the “Traditional Printmaking Workshop with Veliye Martı” was held with great participation. Students and art enthusiasts came together at this special event to explore the intricacies of traditional hand-printing techniques and gain hands-on experience.
One of Turkey’s leading printmaking artists, Veliye Martı, shared her extensive knowledge and experience with the participants. Throughout the event, she provided a comprehensive presentation on the history and cultural significance of traditional printmaking techniques, and how these can be integrated with contemporary design approaches. Participants had the opportunity to create their own original patterns using wooden printing blocks.
