Visit of the Governor of Adamawa State, Nigeria, H.E. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, to Istinye University

The Governor of Adamawa State, Nigeria, H.E. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, visited Istinye University and met with the university administration as well as Nigerian students studying at the institution.

As part of the visit, Governor Fintiri met with students enrolled at Istinye University through scholarship programs provided by Adamawa State and listened to their evaluations regarding their educational experiences, academic progress, and life in Türkiye.

During the meetings, potential areas of cooperation in higher education between Adamawa State and Istinye University were discussed, with particular emphasis placed on joint initiatives that could be developed within the framework of postgraduate education programs. The parties explored opportunities for cultivating qualified human resources, strengthening international academic collaborations, and enhancing student mobility.

The visit was regarded as an important step toward advancing academic relations between Istinye University and the African continent in line with the university’s internationalization vision. It concluded with mutual expressions of goodwill and cooperation regarding potential joint projects that may be implemented in the future.
