Attended by academics, students, and their families, the event saw young physician candidates officially take their first steps toward a career in medicine by wearing their white coats.
The opening speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Türker Kılıç. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Kılıç emphasized that medicine is not limited to scientific knowledge and technical skills, but also requires a strong sense of ethical responsibility and deep respect for human life. He noted that the white coat symbolizes the core values of the medical profession and advised students to be guided not only by science but also by conscience and a human-centered approach throughout their careers.
