YÖKAK Institutional Accreditation Program On-Site Evaluation Process Concluded

The on-site evaluation activities conducted within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) of the Council of Higher Education Quality Board of Türkiye (YÖKAK) were successfully completed between 7–10 December 2025. The Evaluation Panel, consisting of eight reviewers, carried out a comprehensive assessment of the university’s practices across multiple domains, including leadership and governance, education and training, research infrastructure, and societal contribution.

During the visit, the YÖKAK evaluation panel held meetings with academic and administrative staff, students, and external stakeholders, enabling a multidimensional review of the university’s institutional operations and quality assurance processes. In addition, on-site visits to various academic and administrative units provided the panel with extensive observations regarding the university’s policies and implementation practices.

Throughout the evaluation process, valuable feedback was received on a wide range of topics, notably the quality assurance approach, stakeholder satisfaction, human resources management, strategic planning activities, research and development capacity, and student support services. These evaluations not only highlighted the strengths of Istinye University but also offered a meaningful roadmap for identifying areas open to further improvement.

Emphasizing that the YÖKAK evaluation process has further strengthened the university’s institutional culture, quality awareness, and commitment to continuous improvement, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, expressed his appreciation to all academic and administrative staff, students, and external stakeholders who contributed to the process. Prof. Dr. İbiş also stated his belief that this evaluation would make a significant contribution to the university’s institutional capacity within its ongoing quality-oriented development journey.
