About the Graduate School of Social Sciences Internal Transfer Application
Students who wish to transfer to a thesis program must meet the requirements specified below and submit a petition to the Institute along with their Transcript, ALES certificate, and Foreign Language Proficiency certificate.
For students who do not have the foreign language proficiency scores determined by ÖSYM, an Institutional Foreign Language Exam will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2022, between 16:30-17:30 in room 319 at the Vadi Campus.
To participate in the exam, you must notify your participation status via e-mail to sosyalbe@istinye.edu.tr.
Requirements for application:
- Students must fulfill the academic and financial obligations of the program they wish to transfer to for the relevant academic year.
- Students must have completed at least one semester of graduate education in the program to which they were initially admitted, successfully passed all courses taken (with a minimum grade of CB), and fulfilled the student admission requirements of the graduate program they wish to transfer to.
- For students transferring internally from non-thesis master's programs to thesis master's programs in the same field, the maximum period of study will be calculated based on the date of first enrollment in the initial program.
- In order for students to be exempt from courses taken in their previous program, they must apply to the Institute with their transcript and the course exemption petition.
- Students who wish to transfer from the Non-Thesis Psychology Master’s Program to the Thesis Psychology Master’s Program must have a GPA of 2.75 or above in the non-thesis program.
