The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Research and Application (ICAIRA2026) was held on September 2–4, 2026, at Istinye University Vadi Campus, Building H Conference Hall. Chaired by Prof. İlhami Çolak, faculty member and Director of the Graduate Education Institute at Istinye University, the conference was organized in accordance with IEEE standards, with technical sponsorship from IEEE IES and IAS.

Addressing artificial intelligence research and applications across various domains, the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Research and Application (ICAIRA2026) took place on September 2–4, 2026, at Istinye University Vadi Campus, Building H Conference Hall.

The conference was chaired by Prof. İlhami Çolak, faculty member and Director of the Graduate Education Institute at Istinye University, and supported by IEEE IES and IAS in line with IEEE standards.

The conference covered a wide range of research and application tracks within artificial intelligence. Topics featured at ICAIRA2026 included:

560 Submissions from 23 Countries

A total of 560 papers from 23 different countries were submitted to ICAIRA2026. Following peer review by at least three independent referees, 247 papers were accepted for presentation.

The conference featured 15 keynote and invited speakers from Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, India, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Italy, and Japan. Across 17 in-person and 33 virtual sessions, 247 scientific papers were presented.

Additionally, the IEEE IAS Professional Development Workshop (PDW) was organized as part of the conference program, drawing approximately 50 participating students and researchers.

Best Paper Awards Presented to 12 Papers

Papers presented at the conference were evaluated based on session chair assessments and referee reports. Following these evaluations, Best Paper Awards were presented during the closing ceremony to 2 papers in Category I, 4 papers in Category II, and 6 papers in Category III.
