In collaboration between the Nursing Department of Istinye University and MLPCARE, an event was organized to celebrate "Nurses' Day". The event took place on Thursday, May 11th, at 13:00 in the Congress Center of our university's Topkapı Campus.
Under the theme of "Shaping the Future of Nursing," the organization, which was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, commenced after the opening speeches. A panel titled "Empowering Nurses for Our Future," moderated by Prof. Dr. Neriman Akyolcu, was held.
During the panel, significant discussions took place regarding the future of the nursing profession and developments in the sector. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, emphasized the critical role of nurses in the healthcare sector on "Nurses' Day" and highlighted their contributions to public health, the pioneering work of Istinye University in nursing education, and the professional achievements of nurses and their critical roles in public health.
The event addressed the steps taken to shape and strengthen the future of the nursing profession. Participants discussed innovative approaches, the role of technology, and developments in educational processes. The panel focused on current and future needs in the sector, and ideas were shared on how nurses can meet these needs.
