Our University Ranked in the 501–600 Band Worldwide in Engineering and First Among Foundation Universities in Türkiye in Life Sciences

Times Higher Education (THE) has released its 2026 Subject Rankings, evaluating the world’s leading universities by academic disciplines. According to the results, our University was ranked in the 501–600 band globally in Engineering. Achieving significant international visibility, our University entered the 501–600 band in Computer Science for the first time, highlighting its growing impact in information technologies and artificial intelligence–focused research. In the field of Life Sciences, our University ranked first among foundation universities in Türkiye.

The UK-based university ranking organization Times Higher Education (THE) announced the THE Subject Rankings 2026, once again confirming our University’s strong research performance and academic output at both global and national levels. The results underscore our University’s notable progress, particularly in engineering, health sciences, and information sciences.

According to the rankings:

  • Our University was placed in the 501–600 band worldwide in Engineering.

  • In Computer Science, our University entered the 501–600 band for the first time, increasing the international visibility of its research in digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

  • In Physical Sciences, our University was ranked in the 501–600 band for the first time, demonstrating its academic productivity in the basic sciences.

  • In Clinical and Health Sciences, our University advanced to the 801–1000 band, strengthening its global research position in health-related fields.

  • In Life Sciences, our University was ranked in the 1001+ band for the first time, reinforcing its academic presence in biotechnology, molecular biology, and related disciplines.

Strengthening Its Position Among Higher Education Institutions

By prioritizing academic excellence, our University has further consolidated its position among Türkiye’s leading higher education institutions. In national rankings, our University placed:

  • 8th in Computer Science,

  • 10th in Engineering,

  • 6th in Physical Sciences,

  • 20th in Clinical and Health Sciences, and

  • 33rd in Life Sciences.

First Among Foundation Universities in Türkiye

Our University also demonstrated a strong standing among foundation universities. It ranked first in Türkiye in Life Sciences, while achieving 2nd place in Physical Sciences, 3rd in Computer Science, 6th in Engineering, and 5th in Clinical and Health Sciences among foundation universities nationwide.

Looking ahead, our University announced its commitment to further strengthening its position in international rankings by expanding global collaborations, particularly in the fields of engineering, health sciences, and information technologies.
