Istinye University Master’s Program with Thesis in Cancer Biology and Pharmacology is structured to bring an innovative and multidisciplinary perspective to oncology, one of the greatest battlefields of modern medicine. Combining the molecular foundations of cancer biology with advanced pharmacological research techniques, this program offers a thematic education model that is unique in Turkey.

In parallel with the biotechnology vision of the 21st century, we aim to transform genetic and protein data obtained through high-speed technologies into concrete drug targets. Our program is built upon nearly 20 years of international academic background and scientific experience with high citation potential. Our primary goal is to train experts who can analyze cancer progression and metastasis mechanisms at the cellular level, and manage drug development processes targeting new biological pathways.

Focus on Translational Medicine and Drug Discovery:
One of the most distinctive features of our department is that it acts as a strategic bridge between basic sciences and clinical applications. We focus on the process of converting theoretical data obtained from cancer research into clinical benefit through pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic studies. In this way, we integrate the bench-to-bedside interaction, which is highly sought after in our country, into our course content and laboratory practices.

  • Advanced Research Techniques: Competence in examining molecular mechanisms starting from their root sources, drug screening methodologies, and biological target identification.
  • Academic and Sectoral Synthesis: An investigator identity that possesses regulatory knowledge, developed data analysis and critical interpretation capabilities, working in collaboration with institutions providing technological support.
  • University Hospital Integration: The opportunity to reinforce theoretical knowledge with objective field data and work on real-world scenarios, backed by the clinical support of our academicians.

Researchers graduating from our program take their place in the scientific world as qualified academicians who can synthesize complex data in the field of cancer biology, lead drug discovery processes, and have a voice on international platforms with their scientific depth.
