Istinye University Cyber Security (English) Master's Program with Thesis aims to educate cyber security architects who will build the most critical defense line of the digital ecosystem and possess both technical depth and academic vision at global standards. The fact that the language of instruction is entirely English enables our students to directly engage with international cyber defense literature and take active roles within global technology networks.
Today, cyber threats have evolved into complex structures targeting not only individual data but also national infrastructures, financial systems, and the stability of states. Technical Expertise and Scientific Research Focus:
Our thesis-based master's process elevates students’ abilities to analyze complex problems in cyberspace using scientific methodologies and to develop innovative security protocols. The curriculum is built upon the following core pillars:
- Advanced Offensive and Defensive Techniques: Laboratory-supported practical expertise in penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, and incident response.
- Cryptology and Data Privacy: Advanced research models focused on data encryption algorithms, post-quantum cryptography, and protecting privacy in large-scale data environments.
- Scientific Methodology and Original Thesis: A comprehensive thesis study, conducted under faculty supervision, written in English, and designed with the potential for publication on international academic platforms.
Our graduates who meet the criteria set by the Istinye University Graduate Education and Teaching Regulations, successfully complete their credit-bearing courses, and defend their original thesis are awarded the Master’s Degree in Cyber Security. With this qualification, they may take leading roles in the R&D centers of global technology companies as well as in prestigious academic institutions.
