İstinye University Medical Biology and Genetics Doctorate Program aims to educate scientists who can analyze the codes of life at the molecular level, integrate genetic mechanisms with innovative applications in medicine, and contribute to universal science. Our program embraces a comprehensive research vision, extending from the clinical application of genomic data in diagnosis to the development of personalized treatment strategies.
Our curriculum encompasses the most up-to-date academic fields, including mutation screening methodologies, regulation of gene expression, epigenetic mechanisms, molecular immunology, and the molecular basis of diseases. Candidates gain in-depth theoretical and practical competence across a broad spectrum, ranging from the mysteries of non-coding regions of the genome to microorganism genetics.
Applied Education and Advanced Laboratory Infrastructure:
In addition to the research centers within our university, our students benefit from the facilities of the İSU Genetic Diseases Evaluation Center, one of the most advanced diagnostic infrastructures in Türkiye. With approximately 50,000 genetic tests reported annually and licensed by the Ministry of Health, this state-of-the-art infrastructure enables students to test their theoretical knowledge through real cases and advanced technological methodologies.
Advanced Molecular Techniques: Theoretical and practical expertise in modern analytical methods such as next-generation sequencing (NGS), microarray technologies, and cell culture applications.
Personalized Medicine Approach: The ability to design patient-specific treatment models by analyzing the impact of genetic variations on disease risks and drug responses.
Academic Leadership and Expertise: The identity of a Doctor of Philosophy equipped to transfer the latest methodologies in medical genetics into clinical practice and to lead interdisciplinary projects.
As İstinye University, our fundamental objective is to educate highly qualified academic experts who can effectively integrate the opportunities offered by genetic science into medical practice, adhere to academic ethical values, and attain a strong voice on international platforms.
