Istinye University Non-Thesis Master’s Program in Occupational Health and Safety aims to train professionals who will build safe working environments, which is one of the most critical requirements of modern working life. Conducted in Turkish, our program is structured with an interdisciplinary education model encompassing many fields from engineering to law, and from medicine to sociology.

Academic Process and Career Advantages:
In accordance with the standards of Istinye University Postgraduate Education and Training Regulations, our students who successfully complete their credit courses and term project are entitled to receive a non-thesis master's degree in the Department of Occupational Health and Safety. This diploma provides our graduates not only with an academic title but also with a strategic momentum for professional advancement in the sector.

  • Class B Expertise Route: Candidates holding titles of physicist, chemist, and biologist, as well as graduates of engineering, architecture, or technical education faculties, become exempt from the 3-year waiting period required with a Class C certificate upon completing this master's program, gaining the right to directly take the Class B occupational safety expertise exam.
  • Preventive Approach and Risk Analysis: Professional equipment based on a preventive rather than a prescriptive approach within the framework of the OHS Law No. 6331, capable of forming emergency plans and risk assessments according to hazard classes.
  • Sectoral Inspection and Management: Attaining the legal competence to work in hazardous workplaces (Class B) by achieving success in the centralized examinations organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
