As of the 2023–2024 academic year, the newly launched İstinye University Clinical Anatomy Doctorate Program offers an advanced academic pathway that integrates theoretical depth with clinical experience in the fields of medicine and health sciences. Conducted in Turkish, the program aims to educate specialists who are capable of analyzing the structural architecture of the human body in line with the requirements of surgical and clinical disciplines.
Our program is structured to address current scientific needs and academic demands within the healthcare sector. Candidates gain a multidisciplinary perspective by combining foundational anatomical knowledge with advanced research methodologies and clinical application simulations. The educational process places particular emphasis on achieving high-level competence in critical areas such as cadaver studies and radiological anatomy.
Academic Career and Scientific Expertise:
The Clinical Anatomy doctoral process ensures that students develop not only as knowledge transmitters but also as “Doctors of Anatomy” who contribute to the scientific literature through original research projects. The core focus areas of the program include:
Theory and Clinical Integration: The ability to analyze the direct impact of anatomical knowledge on diagnostic processes and surgical operational techniques.
Advanced Research Competence: The capacity to design scientific research, interpret experimental data, and produce academic publications in accordance with international standards.
Education and Leadership: The opportunity to lead anatomy education in faculties of medicine and health sciences institutes, and to take positions within academic staff with a strong academic vision.
Graduates who successfully fulfill the requirements of İstinye University’s Graduate Education and Training Regulations—by completing their credit courses and doctoral dissertation—earn the prestigious diploma representing the title of Doctor of Anatomy in this foundational field of health sciences.
