As of the 2022–2023 academic year, the newly launched İstinye University Physics (English) Doctorate Program offers an international-standard research vision through its thematic curriculum focused on High Energy and Particle Physics—fields with limited examples in Türkiye. Conducted entirely in English, the program is designed to educate future physicists who aspire to uncover the fundamental building blocks and laws of the universe.
Our distinguished academic staff actively conduct externally funded projects in areas such as particle detectors, accelerator technologies, and advanced theoretical physics. With laboratory facilities exceeding 400 m², our students engage in simulations, data analysis, and experimental applications, positioning themselves at the forefront of global physics research.

İstinye University provides an integrated research environment connected to the most prestigious centers of the global physics ecosystem. Our doctoral students have the opportunity to participate in experimental collaborations and conduct on-site research at the following international laboratories:
CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research): The opportunity to conduct research at the heart of European science through four active experimental collaborations.
Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA): Participation in experimental projects designed and conducted in the United States.
Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHEP): Direct involvement in international studies within the Institute of High Energy Physics.
Candidates who successfully complete all program requirements assume leading roles in both global academia and high-technology-oriented industries with the title of “Doctor,” supported by their computational and experimental competencies.
