Istinye University Non-Thesis Master’s Program in Textile and Fashion Design aims to train leading designers with high aesthetic vision capable of generating innovative solutions, who will shape the world of textile, ready-to-wear, and fashion. Having commenced its educational cycle as of the 2024-2025 academic year, our program provides a foundation for transforming creative ideas into sectoral success with Turkish as the medium of instruction.
Our program focuses not only on the artistic dimension of design, but also on strategic elements such as material knowledge, advanced production techniques, and the contemporary fashion cycle. Synthesizing their personal talents through the relations of form, color, structure, and function, our students gain the competence to develop original and pioneering collections that reflect their own design identities.
Multidisciplinary Design Approach and Expertise:
Our curriculum offers a holistic perspective that nurtures the core pillars of textile art and the ready-to-wear industry from artistic, cultural, and technical aspects. Throughout the program, our students achieve parallel development in the following disciplines:
- Integrated Design Education: A specialization process where weaving, printing, and garment design disciplines are addressed simultaneously, merging technical and artistic depth.
- Applied Project Experience: The skill to produce innovative and aesthetic responses to sectoral needs by establishing the relationship between form and material.
- Academic Guidance and Graduation: The opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge into a professional portfolio through a graduation project prepared under the supervision of our expert faculty members and evaluated by a jury.
Meeting the standards of Istinye University Postgraduate Education and Training Regulations, our graduates who successfully complete their credit courses and graduation project rise to a competitive position in the global fashion industry with a Master of Science in Textile and Fashion Design degree.
