Nutrition and Dietetics Master's (Non-Thesis) | İstinye University

"Nutrition is an action carried out to provide the nutrients required by the body in sufficient quantities and at appropriate times to protect, improve, and enhance the quality of life. Nutrition is the consumption and utilization of nutrients necessary for human growth, development, and a long, healthy, and productive life." Dietitians are healthcare professionals who apply the science of food and nutrition to protect health and prevent diseases by optimizing the health of individuals, groups, and communities. The Nutrition and Dietetics Non-Thesis Master’s Program aims to update nutritional knowledge within the scope of nutritional sciences, food service systems, and community nutrition, ensuring its application in various fields—primarily in promoting health and achieving adequate, balanced, and sustainable nutrition.

The Istinye University Nutrition and Dietetics Non-Thesis Master’s program aims to provide dietitians—healthcare professionals trained in the field—with the opportunity to enhance their expertise without spending an additional year on research. The goal of this program is to provide advanced knowledge in Nutrition and Dietetics to protect, improve, and enhance public health and quality of life across the lifespan. Through innovations that meet program competencies, we aim to offer our students diverse perspectives and enable them to obtain their specialization in a shorter period without writing a thesis, by allowing them to take elective courses from different departments based on their specific interests.
