One Click, Danger: Internet Security and Gambling Traps” Panel Held
Organized by the Cybersecurity Club, the “One Click, Danger: Internet Security and Gambling Traps” panel was held on November 21st at the Topkapı Campus Congress Center.
Speaker Ömer Yerlikaya gave a comprehensive presentation on the current state of safe internet use in Turkey, the risks users face online, and how illegal gambling sites operate. Participants gained valuable information on the types of cyber threats, the protection of personal data in the digital environment, social engineering methods, and how illegal gambling platforms target users.
The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the dangers they may encounter in their daily digital lives, while also offering practical suggestions for conscious internet use. The question-and-answer session at the end of the panel allowed participants to directly ask the expert questions about topics they were curious about.
