The President and Vice President of the Student Council for the 2025–2026 Academic Year were determined by elections held on November 21, 2025. According to the election results, Emir Erkal Üstünipek, a 4th-year Medical Faculty student, was elected as the President of the Student Council, and Begüm Güler, a 5th-year Pharmacy Faculty student, was elected as the Vice President. The council, aiming to increase student representation, will continue to have a voice in the academic and social life of the university.
The new administration held its first meeting on November 28, 2025, with our Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Peyami Çelikcan. At the meeting, it was emphasized that İstinye University has a management culture that prioritizes stakeholder participation in decision-making processes. Prof. Dr. İbiş stated that he considers the representation of the Student Council, especially in the Senate and other relevant boards, to be extremely important, and that student opinions are one of the fundamental elements guiding university administration.
