IEEE Club – Introduction to Cybersecurity: Staying Safe in the Digital World

The “Introduction to Cybersecurity: Staying Safe in the Digital World” event organized by the IEEE Club was held online on March 14, 2026. During the event, expert speaker Enes Yıldızhan provided participants with comprehensive information about security threats that may be encountered in the digital world, the protection of personal data, and cybersecurity measures.

Throughout the program, students learned ways to maintain digital security in both daily life and academic work. Participants gained practical knowledge on critical topics such as phishing attacks, password management, social engineering, and protection against cyber risks. In the interactive question-and-answer session, attendees also had the opportunity to share their own experiences and further increase their cybersecurity awareness.

The event aimed to contribute to the development of conscious and secure digital behaviors among students while also promoting the spread of cybersecurity culture throughout the campus community.
