IEEE Club – From Organic Synthesis to Drug Development

The “From Organic Synthesis to Drug Development” event, organized by the IEEE Club, was held online on April 9, 2026.

Bringing together students interested in science and technology, the event focused on the chemical foundations of drug development processes and the stages of molecular design. The program, distinguished by its academic content, was followed with great interest by participants.

As part of the event, the molecular journey of anticancer, antifungal, and antidepressant agents was examined in detail. Starting from organic synthesis processes, comprehensive information was provided on the discovery, development, and progression of active compounds to therapeutic use. In addition, innovative approaches in drug research and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration were emphasized.

Participants had the opportunity to gain up-to-date knowledge in this field at the intersection of health sciences, engineering, and chemistry, and developed awareness of scientific research processes.

With its scientific content and instructive approach, the event was successfully completed as a valuable organization contributing to the academic development of our students.
