The Science Fiction and Fantasy Club successfully held its “FRP 101” event on November 8th, bringing together students interested in tabletop role-playing games. Held in the Vadi H Campus Co-working Space, the event stood out with both informative content for students new to the world of FRP and a hands-on gaming session that provided practical experience.

The event began with a slide presentation covering fundamental FRP concepts, game mechanics, character creation processes, the role of the game master, and popular FRP systems. Participants had the opportunity to learn about a comprehensive range of topics, from the history of tabletop role-playing games to current examples.

Following the informative presentation, the most exciting part of the event took place: the gaming experience. Students gathered around a table with their created characters to embark on a story-driven adventure. This section highlighted teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and improvisation skills, while participants experienced the fun and immersive atmosphere of FRP firsthand.

The open and interactive environment of the Vadi H Campus Co-working Space supported the informative and interactive nature of the event. The highly attended event once again demonstrated the Science Fiction and Fantasy Club's goal of strengthening a community culture within the university focused on unique areas of interest.

The FRP 101 event served as a basic introduction for enthusiasts and also allowed students to discover a new hobby on campus. The club plans to organize new events on FRP and similar themes in the future.
