Translation Club – The Translation Journey with Conference Interpreter Bilge Has: Experiences and Advice

The event titled “The Translation Journey with Conference Interpreter Bilge Has: Experiences and Advice,” organized by the Translation Club, was held on April 6, 2026, in Hall AB510 at the Vadi AB Campus.

Aiming to bring together students pursuing a career in translation with experienced professionals from the sector, the event was followed with great interest by participants. As part of the program, Bilge Has, the Türkiye representative of the International Association of Conference Interpreters, attended as a guest speaker.

During the event, Bilge Has shared her career journey in the translation profession, her experiences in the sector, and key points to consider in professional development. Valuable insights were provided on the dynamics of conference interpreting, simultaneous and consecutive interpreting processes, experiences in international platforms, and the competencies required to succeed in the profession.

Participants had the opportunity to gain direct insights from an expert in the field, receive answers to their questions about the translation industry, and obtain valuable advice to guide their career planning.
