Throughout my academic career, I have held postdoctoral and visiting researcher positions at various research centers, including Fermilab, CERN, and the University of Iowa. After returning to Türkiye, I served as a faculty member at Yıldız Technical University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University for many years before joining the academic staff at Istinye University in 2024.
I have been an active member of the CMS experiment at CERN since 2003. During this period, I have contributed to both fundamental physics research and R&D studies for critical detector systems such as HCAL and HGCAL. I was honored with the "CMS 2011 Achievement Award" for my leadership in CMS HCAL operations and my work on improving the HF detector and data quality.
My current research interests include high-energy physics, next-generation medical imaging systems, portable hybrid gamma probes, calorimeter designs based on secondary electron emission, and health biotechnologies. I continue to work as a principal investigator and researcher on various TÜBİTAK and TÜSEB projects in these interdisciplinary fields. To date, I have co-authored 754 scientific articles published in international indexed journals.
Alongside my research, I serve as a Board Member of the Turkish Accelerator and Radiation Laboratory and, as of 2026, as the Türkiye Delegate to the CERN Knowledge Transfer (KT) Forum.
