The qualified academic and technical staff within the YEPAF Research Group conducts R&D studies in High Energy Physics, Particle Physics, Particle Detectors, Particle Accelerators, and related fields. 

The laboratory infrastructure established for YEPAF R&D activities, together with the ongoing externally funded research projects (TÜBİTAK, TENMAK, TÜSEB) and advanced physics studies carried out במסגרת international collaborations, also creates a major opportunity for the competencies that doctoral students will gain. 

İstinye University is involved in five experimental collaborations conducted at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (ATLAS, CAST, DRD1, DRD Calo, FCC), one at the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (BESIII), and one designed at Brookhaven National Laboratory in the United States (sr-EDM), as well as in the COST Action called CosmicWISPers.
