Dr. Beyhan Puliçe is a researcher at the Department of Basic Sciences, İstinye University. She received her Ph.D. in Theoretical High Energy Physics from İzmir Institute of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Durmuş Ali Demir. Following her Ph.D., she worked as a researcher at Sabancı University and at Astrophysics Research Center, The Open University of Israel. Her research lies at the intersection of quantum field theory, particle physics, gravitation, and astroparticle physics.
Her research focuses on the effects of quantum fields in the high-energy regime, covering fundamental physics problems in particular the fifth force and emergent gravity. In this context, she studies the geometric Z' theory which she and her collaborators first introduced in the literature, as well as Symmergent gravity, with applications to black holes and other compact objects, weakly coupled particles, and dark matter.
She is the principal investigator of the project titled “Geometric and Thermodynamic Analysis of Magnetically Charged Black Holes within the Framework of Symmergent Gravity,” supported by the TÜBİTAK 2515 – COST Action Members R&D Support Program. The project is associated with the COST Action Relativistic Quantum Information. She is also actively involved in the COST Action COSMIC WISPers in the Dark Universe: Theory, Astrophysics and Experiments, contributing to international studies on weakly interacting slim particles in the dark universe.
