He was born in İstanbul in 1975. He obtained the BSc degree of Physics in 1998 at Middle East Technical University, and MSc degree in 2005 at Marmara University. He had been at Brookhaven National Laboratory in USA between 2009 and 2011 for his PhD studies. Upon graduation, he continued his work at Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in South Korea as a research fellow until 2021. His main work has been on accelerators, including beam and spin dynamics simulations and hardware development and installation. During his stay at IBS, he led projects on beam and dynamics simulations, SQUID-based beam position monitor development for the proton EDM experiment, and RF system development and installation for the Muon g-2 experiment at Fermilab. He also worked on development of a non destructive beam profile monitor for the Muon g-2 experiment at J-PARC, Japan. Currently, he is working at Istinye University, working on a TUBITAK-funded project for development of a prototype device to measure average magnetic field along a circular particle accelerator, and a related project for development of a quadrupole magnet for the Proton EDM experiment. Besides teaching Physics courses for engineering students, he also teaches accelerator physics to physics graduate students.
