Assistant Professor İsmail Can Dikmen

Dr. I. Can Dikmen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istinye University. He earned his B.S. from the Turkish Air Force Academy, an M.S. from the Institute of Aeronautics and Space Technologies, and a Ph.D. from İnönü University focusing on intelligent battery management for electric vehicles. His work combines embedded intelligence with electrochemical systems for mobility and energy storage, with emphasis on adaptive Battery Management Systems (BMS), state estimation, chemistry identification, battery diagnostics, and data-driven prognosti...
Dr. I. Can Dikmen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Istinye University. He earned his B.S. from the Turkish Air Force Academy, an M.S. from the Institute of Aeronautics and Space Technologies, and a Ph.D. from İnönü University focusing on intelligent battery management for electric vehicles. His work combines embedded intelligence with electrochemical systems for mobility and energy storage, with emphasis on adaptive Battery Management Systems (BMS), state estimation, chemistry identification, battery diagnostics, and data-driven prognostics. A distinctive part of his research explores neuromorphic computing for BMS, aiming at efficient, real-time inference on edge hardware. He co-founded SUSTECH to translate BMS research into production-grade automotive solutions. He holds patents related to BMS technologies, including neuromorphic BMS (nBMS), and received First Prize in the “Most Innovative Scientific-Based Project” category at the RDCONF R\&D and Innovation Awards
