Mechanical Engineering

Istinye University Mechanical Engineering Program education period is 4 years and the language of education is English. Mechanical engineering students take their first steps into engineering in their first year with common engineering courses such as physics, mathematics, computer programming and computer aided drawing. In the 2nd and 3rd grades, they have knowledge about thermodynamics, dynamics, strength, fluid mechanics, manufacturing methods and machine elements, which are the basic courses of mechanical engineering. In the 3rd and 4th grades, they develop their design and analysis skills, interdisciplinary working competencies, teamwork and leadership skills for these teams with department and faculty elective courses for the areas they want to specialize in.

Our students work on special industrial-purpose graduation projects that include experimental and numerical studies and machine design. They graduate as multi-faceted individuals with a scientific and engineering mindset, adopting lifelong learning, developed self-confidence and communication skills, high ethical values, pioneering, innovative, producing solutions for sustainable technologies.

After graduating from the Industrial and Systems Engineering (English) program at Istinye University, I started working at Borusan, the official distributor of the BMW brand in Turkey—one of the leading companies in its field—under the BMW Motorrad division.The companies I have worked for have greatly valued the responsibilities and duties I took on during my education, including roles such as university student representative, faculty student representative, and department student representative, as well as my active participation in various student clubs and committees.
