Assistant Professor Şebnem Gümüşcü

Şebnem Gümüşcü received her BA degree in Child Health and Education from College of Home Economics in Hacettepe University in 1986. After completing her undergraduate education, she started to work with children with special needs and their families and continued her studies in this field until 2018 at the "MEB Uyum Special Education School" and "Uyum Special Education and Rehabilitation Center", where she was a founding partner in 1988. He went to Norway in 1988 with a MEB research grant and followed special education studies. She has books titled "Autistic Children and Their Education", "Autism and Autistic Children", "Language Development Activities in Preschool Period". She wrote the ADHD chapter in the book "When It Comes to Children". In 2013, she contributed to the opening of the Department of Preschool Education at the Faculty of Education at Istanbul Kultur University and gave lectures as a faculty member. In the same year, she received the "Family Counseling" certificate from Ankara University. She worked at Cyprus University of Health and Social Sciences between 2017-2020. She teaches at Başkent University Faculty of Education and works as a Child Development and Education Specialist/Special Education Specialist at Güven Hospital Çayyolu Campus.
