Prof. Halil İbrahim Canter

He was graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine as MD in 1996 and succeeded the residency program in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery department in the same institute in 2003. He attended the Advanced Plastic Surgery Ph.D. and studies in Craniofacial Anomalies, Traumas and Tumors throughout this program and got his Ph.D. degree in 2008. He worked as clinical fellow in the field of Craniofacial Surgery in US between 2006-2007. He has the specialty of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Hand surgery and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. He got the degree of Associate Professor in 2009 and the degree of Professor in 2014 in Acibadem University. In addition to the lectures and educational activities in Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine, he worked as consulting physician in two different craniofacial teams of different Universities in Turkey for twelve years. He has more than 70 scientific papers published in outstanding pear reviewed medical journals. The works as reviewer in more 10 pear review international journals. He got one patent for his invention in the field of distraction osteogenesis. He has European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and Turkish Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic. In addition to be a member of several National Plastic Surgery Societies, he is the member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The European Society of Craniofacial Surgery, The American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association and The International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. He joined the charity activities out of country for reconstruction of cleft palate lip patients in the third world countries.
