Prof. Dr. Yıldız Öner-İyidoğan graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Letters at Istanbul Technical University in 1991. She completed her Master’s degree in 1993 and her PhD in 1999 at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Medical Biochemistry in 2005 and became a Full Professor in 2012.

Prof. Dr. Yıldız Öner-İyidoğan graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Letters at Istanbul Technical University in 1991. She completed her Master’s degree in 1993 and her PhD in 1999 at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Medical Biochemistry in 2005 and became a Full Professor in 2012.
She served as the Coordinator of Graduate Education at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, and supervised one medical specialty (residency) thesis and one master’s thesis. She has participated as a principal investigator and researcher in a total of 15 Scientific Research Projects (BAP) and is currently involved as a researcher in 3 ongoing BAP projects and 1 TÜBİTAK 1002 project.
Prof. Dr. Öner-İyidoğan has authored 37 international publications and 4 national publications. She has presented 20 papers at international congresses and 33 at national congresses. Her total citation count is 1,119, and her h-index is 21. She has also contributed as a chapter author to the book Medical Biochemistry (Editor: Prof. Dr. Figen Gürdöl), published by Nobel Publishing.
After retiring from Istanbul University in 2020, she was appointed as a founding faculty member with the rank of Professor at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul Arel University. At Arel Faculty of Medicine, she served on various committees and held administrative positions as the Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. She also delivered theoretical and practical Medical Biochemistry courses for Grade I and Grade II medical students.
She is currently teaching Medical Biochemistry courses in Grade I and Grade II at Istinye University Faculty of Medicine and serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istinye University.
